When I first played TFH, I loved it !
Litteraly it's an Awesome Multiplayer Game !
There are only some few frustations that I had playing it :
- You have to see EVERY TIME the woman to know what materials you need
- You have to see EVERY TIME your stock of materials
- You forget EVERY TIME what you need because there are a lot of items.
Yes Nintendo screwed up this part, it would be great to START the game and know what outfits/materials we have instead of this useless start menu...
So I started making an Excel file to manage a little to complete this lack...
The Story of the Project
Evolution of the Tool
When I first began building it, I only thoughts about managing the materials to help answering the question :
What I have in my Inventory ?!
Then I thought that, knowing the quantity of materials, it would be great to know :
- What outfits can I build with my materials ?
- Did I have all of them ?
- Did this item is used in ONE or MANY outfits ? Can I sell it ?
- Where do I have to search for this item ?
- Will it be simple to get it ? What's the probability to earn this item on this level ?
- Did I already did this or this quest ?
- In my inventory, it must be an outfit that i almost can make, but how to know ?!
- I'm tired looking at the board behind the guy in the all to know my progression
- I'm tired speaking to these people JUST TO KNOW what i have.
- ...
From all theses questions, I worked and improved my file to be able to manage the whole game with only 3 inputs:
- Your Quest Progression
- Your Materials
- The Outfits you have
1 Week After, after :
- Developping
- Translating all the file
- Converting all the formulas in English
I think I finished wondering what can be done next and every part of the whole game can be managed. From the beginning until the end (100%).
